Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture is a non profit artist initiative, a fundament strategy for community development and a service-providing program. Baan Noorg functions as an alternative interdisciplinary art program for developing contemporary art and cultural production for local and global community. DAY OFF LABoratory, or OFF LAB is a long term alternative interdisciplinary art program based on post-studio and participatory practices. OFF LAB functions as a dynamic program to develop contemporary art and cultural production. The division was initiated in 2014 and launched with POP-UP MUSEUM (Model study for Nongpo community) project, co-organized with Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts Faculty, Thammasat University and continued with 365 days : LIFE MUSE, long term project conducted between 2015-2016, supported by and co-organized with Art Centre Silpakorn University and sponsored by Japan Foundation, Bangkok. Baan Noorg – NPKD
Baan Noorg – NPKD organizes Unlimited art workshop for children, Short Film Festival and NPKD Social Enterprise project at Nongpo community. There has been 2 unlimited Art Workshop for Children and Short Film Festival in 2012, 2013 and will continue in 2017. The NPKD Social Enterprise project is a long term project initiated in 2017. Baan Noorg Storage
Baan Noorg Storage division is a temporary store for merchandising collective artworks collected through Baan Noorg artists’ network contributions and artworks from day OFF LABoratory program for fundraising to support Baan Noorg programs and social services. Baan Noorg Storage promotes Contemporary Culture and Organic Living and serves as a service store to merchandise collective products that produced by artists in order to support well-made and quality products for better living.

Orchid Composition #3 is an exploration of the children’s thought and imagination towards the future of Orchid Island* in the next 10 years / the artists have summarized the stories into a manifesto / it was then sent to the community to translate into native language / finally, the Roman pinyin manifesto was sent to a native people to sing.
Orchid Island (Lan Yu), an island where, an indigeneous Tao people, the Yami ethnics have lived there for generations, were once self-reliant, made everything by themselves, now get overrun by modern technology and economy and facing the nuclear power waste threatening eversince the nuclear power plant was built in 1970.

Artistic Research and Contemporary Art Exhibition
365 Days : LIFE MUSE (Model study for Nongpo community’s foreign labour)
365 Days: LIFE MUSE, an Artists in Residence for Artistic Research and Contemporary Art Exhibition Project, has been created with the aim to develop interdisciplinary arts to deliver the message on the vision pertaining the conflict of diaspora and laboured-migration issues and the potentials that these issues could be portrayed through arts. The project has designed collaborative and learning platform including social, humanity-oriented, artistic activities through artworks by 22 Thai, ASEAN and international based artists and researchers. This is in collaboration with the community and Myanmar labourers living in the community and the vicinity in order to address open-end questions over the cultural paradox under the notion of “non-multiculturalism of the multiculturalism”.
The day OFF LABoratory program operates annual and launched its first edition in 2013, Artists in residence for artistic research and contemporary art exhibition Pop Up Museum (Model Study for Nongpo Community) project, and followed by OFF LAB # 2, Artists in residence for artistic research and contemporary art exhibition 365 days: LIFE MUSE (Model Study for Nongpo Community’s Foreign Labour) project. This is a one-year project from 2015 to 2016, which is an ongoing project with an aim to generate learning process, reduce the gap of cultural diversity and exchange the contemporary art experience amongst international, ASEAN and Asian participants with the initiative of a residency program. Thai and international artists from Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia as well as Germany, Austria and France were invited to stay in the community, developed artistic research and artworks with community members and the Myanmar labourers who reside and legally work in Nongpo and the vicinity. The participants have joined and collaborated in the process of project development every two months throughout the course of one-year time. Two artists are invited to develop their work in the community having three weeks on each sessions of residency. This project is originated by Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture.
The project is supported by Art Centre of Silpakorn University and the Japan Foundation, Bangkok in associated with institutions within the community and abroad : Open Contemporary Art Center, Taipei, Bamboo Curtain Studio, Taipei, Taiwan, 98B Collaboratory, Manila, Philippines, WAFT LAB, Surabaya, Indonesia, Nongpo Temple, Nongpo Temple Community School and Nongpo District community members. The result of the artistic-research, the contemporary art exhibition, live performance and forum for 365 Days: LIFE MUSE (Model study for Nongpo community’s foreign labour) are held at the Art Centre of Silpakorn University, Thapra campus, Bangkok and the experimental space of Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture, Nongpo District, Ratchaburi. NPKD (NongpoKiDdee) or Baan Noorg – NPKD,
NPKD is a program under the Art and Cultural Development for Nongpo community objective initiated by jiandyin. Their original aim was to expand contemporary art experience for children and local members in Nongpo neighborhood and nearby community with the notion that art can be a tool to bridge community. They began with a short film workshop program and festival #1 held at Nongpo Temple, the main temple in community during July 2011 and followed by the second workshop program and festival #2 in April 2013.
Baan Noorg – NPKD invited Pramaha Somkid Athasittho, the abb0t of Nongpo Temple to be honorary adviser, Board of advisers include Khajeerat Na Nakara as head of senior adviser; Sakarin Krue-on, Wasinburee Supanichvoraparch, Arunee Srisuk, Suppapong Sonsang, etc. as project’s senior advisers; Supaporn Meemalai, U-sa Pothakanapong and Wiriya Kitikamjai as community coordinator, Narissara Sonsang as project’s public relations, etc.
All short films created by children were shown at the first Nongpo short film festival and other annual festivals of Nongpo Temple, art venues/institutions in Thailand and other countries such as Taiwan. More than 300 of locals and people from other provinces have attended the first Nongpo short film festival.
Baan Noorg – NPKD also provides professional service for private artistic group or international art program. They were invited to organize/co-organize/coperate art workshop for children for several exhibitions/programs such as Zhongshan Park project (Shanghai Biennale 2012) organized by Hyacinth Culture Ltd. in associate with Bamboo Curtain Studio, Taiwan; Exotika exhibition at galerie marzahn organized by Camping Akademie in associate with K3 Kinder-Kiez-Klub, etc.

NongpoKiDdee Unlimited Art Workshop of Moving Image for Children and Film Festival # 2 : 2013
nongpoKiDdee unlimited art for moving image workshop is a program for children to express their experience toward their lives and community into art works and short films. The artists, jiandyin and team supported the preproduction and postproduction of the films with the attempt to deliver the experience they captured while interacting with children to represent the natural state of being and collaborations. There were 29 children, age between 6-15, participated in the Film Festival #2 and created 29 films for the festival. Festival programs included 4 invited short films/animations by Chun Wen Chao and Sheng Te Hsu, Don Salubayba, Sippapad Krongraksa and Kompin Kemgamnird. There were 9 Thai and international artists participated in the program: Suporn Choosongdej, Sakarin Krue-On, Siwakorn Tesabumroong, Kaensarn Rattanasomrerk, Gong Rajan, Kompin Kemgumnird, Yuthlert Sippapark (Thailand), Hsu Chia Wei, Lo Shih Tung and Li Jo Mei (Taiwan). Short Films and Animation workshop for Flood victims in Thailand, Oct-Nov 2011

Thai Traditional Dance Workshop for Nongpo Community’s Children Project
Cultural Development for Nongpo Community Project in Ratchaburi province is originally founded by jiandyin, since 2010. The main intention is to develop, inherit, promote traditional/contemporary Thai culture for new generations in Nongpo community. The project has organized traditional Thai dance workshops annually during Summer and Rainy season’s break (October). Students who attend program age range between 5-15. The program is leaded by Nongpo community members : Tanyathorn Panyasarn, Pornpan Petchpankan, Namfon Bunkhum, Nampetch Tandee, etc. All programs are mainly supported by Nongpo Temple.
